There is nothing to compare. The only reason this is happening is because Twilight is the first fantasy book series to give Harry Potter a run for its money on pre-order sales and a few actors who have given a performance in Harry Potter decided to take a opportunity to better their careers by performing in Twilight. Good for them. I’m sure you would have done the same if you were given the chance.
They have nothing in common besides that. So let’s stop bitching and moaning about a problem that doesn’t exist.

Sorry nes, but I kinda believe you and everyone have the right to compare anything to anything. Look at it this way. I ask you your favorite movie, and suppose you say Twilight. That means you compared Twilight not only to Harry Potter, but every other movie known to man.
I personally like Harry Potter better due to it’s deeper story and it’s variety of it’s characters’ personalities. There’s always a part of the plot and a certain character one can relate to.
And… I have to say that I really don’t like the idea of sparkling people. Imagine if you found out your crush sparkled and glimmered and shimmered and glittered. That would really tick me off. That’s as bad as a girl flooding herself with perfume. hehe. I understand Stephanie did that to make a way for sunlight to reveal a vampire’s true identity, but couldn’t it have been something else? like the eyes turning pale blue, or turning tan instantly?
That’s my opinion on things.
